Assetto Corsa Competizione fans, the Nurburgring 24hr DLC is finally here

Yes, including all 13 miles of the NorDSchleife

Apparently refusing to be outdone by Forza Motorsport who just added its own version of the Nordschleife, Assetto Corsa Competizione has released its own Nurburgring DLC pack which adds the 24-hour race version of the infamous ‘green hell’ to its roster of tracks.

Priced at £9.99 on Steam and featuring just the one layout of the 20.8km circuit, you could argue it doesn’t represent great bang for buck. By contrast, last year’s 2023 GT World Challenge DLC added three new vehicles and the Circuit Ricardo Tormo - Valencia.

That’s unlikely to dissuade die-hards of Kunos Simulazioni’s delectable racing sim, though. The standard of content is universally high across the game, from vehicles and tracks to online competition tools, and that’s made it the go-to place for thousands of sim racers. Ergo: the release of an iconic track like this is a big deal.

The Nurburgring 24-hour layout incorporates the GP circuit into its lap, so in between those long stretches peering into the gloom at 180mph through those long, undulating woodland straight, you’ve at least got a minute and a half of familiar floodlit corners.

Initial reviews on Steam are very positive, although some users are reporting crashes to desktop and claiming the DLC content needs to be patched for stability.
